The King will offer "the highest regard and friendship of the British people" to the United States on Tuesday as he becomes the second monarch in history to address a joint meeting of Congress. While the UK and the US have not always agreed on everything, shared traditions mean “time and time again, our two countries have always found ways to come together”, the monarch is set to tell both houses of US Congress on the 250th anniversary of American independence.
