Description
During an interview with the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg on Saturday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer fails to answer a question on whether he will condemn the US’s actions against Venezuela.
“I want to get all the material facts together and we simply haven't got the full picture at the moment. It's fast moving and we need to piece that together,” said Starmer, before adding: “I then need to speak to President Trump, I need to speak to our allies. But I don't shy away from this.”
His comments come after US special forces seized Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro and his wife from the capital, Caracas, early on Saturday, as American fighter jets bombed key military installations and bases across the country.
