We estimate 25,000,000 to 35,000,000 ASUS routers -- nearly every modern router the company has sold since 2018 -- are affected by vulnerabilities discovered by security researcher Mr Bruh. Working with Mr Bruh, we've exploit chained the ASUS vulnerability into the unpatched LG TV remote code execution vulnerabilities, enabling us to breach and take over an ASUS router to then tunnel into a TV and convert it into a listening device. This could be easily done, for example, from an office lobby, cafe, or business with available WiFi networks or open wall sockets. Likewise, you could chain in from a more remote position by exploiting other device vulnerabilities. ASUS' response was lackluster, as it often is, and the company requested an extension on its fixes.
