In Niger State, communities are living in fear after scores of people were killed at the Kasuwan Daji market in the Borgu Local Government Area. The police revealed that terrorists swarmed the market, set it on fire, and abducted an unspecified number of people. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu condemned the attack, directing the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs and more to hunt the terrorists down and bring them to justice. It comes as President Tinubu caused mixed reactions to a photo of himself and Rwandan President Paul Kagame which was suspected to be AI-generated. The President’s Spokesperson however pushed back on those reports, instead saying that the photographer used Grok to improve the picture’s quality. In another development, people are reacting to the series of strikes launched on Venezuela by US President Donald Trump as well as the capturing of President Nicolas Maduro. In Nigeria, a group identified as Nigeria's Venezuela Solidarity Campaign came out to protest in support of Venezuela. The Leader of the NNPP Rabiu Kwankwaso sparked online reactions after saying he will not leave his party unless offered the presidential or vice-presidential ticket in 2027. In another development, police in Kwara State are investigating the burning of a traditional worshipper’s house after she accused her Muslim neighbours of attacking her over religious differences, following months of threats and intimidation.
