In Plateau State, anger and grief engulfed communities after the killing of nine people during a crossover night attack in Jos South Local Government Area, with some residents describing the attack as Christian genocide. In Lagos, three brothers who had been missing for a week after a building collapsed died despite pleas from their family and associates for the state government to rescue them from the building's rubble. Meanwhile, the Lagos State government ordered all residents and businesses around the building to leave the area, stating that experts warned against the danger to lives within a 100 meters radius. Lagos State Governor Sanwo Olu was expected to revisit the scene of the building collapse on Friday. In another development, the Ogun State Police Command confirmed the arrest of the driver, Kayode Adeniyi, involved in the deadly crash that killed two of Anthony Joshua's associates on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Joshua was discharged from the hospital, with the Lagos and Ogun State governments describing him as "heavy hearted" over the loss of his close friends and colleagues.
