Kemi Badenoch has set out plans to scrap the “unfair debt trap” of high interest rates on student loans if the Conservatives win the next election. She pledged to abolish real interest rates on plan 2 student loans, which can mean graduates pay tens of thousands more than they borrowed to fund university fees.
