They don’t have to be dark and scary, and that’s the challenge I’m tackling with this makeover. This is my friend Karis’ dated basement room that I’ve been asked to turn into a cozy guest bedroom. It won’t be easy, but I think we can make it happen—and it needs to happen quickly, as she has guests coming over very soon.
