TBN Israel’s Mati Shoshani reports on the Israel-Iran and regional war.
Mysterious explosions are being reported across Iran as tensions with the United States reach a dangerous new level. Iranian media reported explosions in Bandar Abbas, Konarak, Choghadak, Bushehr, and other areas, while Gulf states including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain declared maximum alert. At the same time, the United States military is preparing for the possibility of additional strikes in Iran as early as tonight.
Israel provided the United States with intelligence about a new Iranian plot to assassinate President Donald Trump. The report comes as the Revolutionary Guards continue threatening revenge for the killing of Qassem Soleimani and as massive anti-Trump and anti-Netanyahu messages appear during Ali Khamenei’s funeral in Mashhad. Mati explains why the plot, the funeral, and the growing power of the Revolutionary Guards could make negotiations with Washington even harder.
Despite the strikes, Qatar and Pakistan are still working to bring Washington and Tehran back to the negotiating table. But Iran is escalating pressure, claiming attacks were launched from Gulf states and firing missiles toward Jordan. American forces have intercepted dozens of drones and missiles, while President Trump remains in closed-door discussions after returning from the NATO summit in Ankara.
Panic is growing in Tehran over a new Middle East initiative designed to neutralize Iran’s strongest strategic weapon — the threat of the Strait of Hormuz. For years, Iran used Hormuz as an insurance policy against the world. Now, after new exchanges of fire in the Gulf, Iran fears that someone is trying to take that card away.
At the same time, Israel carried out a dramatic airstrike in the heart of a Hezbollah stronghold in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, causing heavy damage and panic in the area. Over the past 24 hours, the IDF also exposed and destroyed massive Hezbollah infrastructure, including a site reportedly located about 200 meters underground. Israeli forces are now working to locate Hezbollah terrorists who may still be trapped inside attack tunnels.
The report also covers a political scandal in New York after a planned meeting between a New York City official and Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations was blocked by the U.S. State Department. The incident raises new concerns over radical-left efforts to engage with Tehran while Iran is actively confronting the United States and threatening Israel.
