Panic is growing in Tehran over a new Middle East initiative designed to neutralize Iran’s strongest strategic weapon — the threat of the Strait of Hormuz. For years, Iran used Hormuz as an insurance policy against the world. Now, after new exchanges of fire in the Gulf, Iran fears that someone is trying to take that card away. At the same time, Israel carried out a dramatic airstrike in the heart of a Hezbollah stronghold in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, causing heavy damage and panic in the area. Over the past 24 hours, the IDF also exposed and destroyed massive Hezbollah infrastructure, including a site reportedly located about 200 meters underground. Israeli forces are now working to locate Hezbollah terrorists who may still be trapped inside attack tunnels. The report also covers a political scandal in New York after a planned meeting between a New York City official and Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations was blocked by the U.S. State Department.
